Thrilling, riveting and emotional. These words perfectly illustrate the book, Powerless. Paedyn Gray, an ordinary in a world of elites disguises herself as a physic to blend in. Unbeknownst to her, she saves Kai Azer, one of Ilyas’ princes. She suddenly gets thrown into the purging trials, a treacherous competition to display the Elite’s powers. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The dual narrative meant you got to hear the events from both perspectives. Paedyn is my favourite character as she is strong, independent and confident. This book also involves  twists and turns that I could never have imagined, definitely a page turner. The tension and romance between the characters was top tier. I loved the fight scenes- they were so descriptive and detailed! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great book that includes fantasy, action and romance. 5 stars.
