The Whisperwicks: Labyrinth of Lost and Found

Borzoi School Book Club Review:

I really enjoyed this book as I have always liked the parallel world theory and I think this does it very well. I also like the idea of ‘poppets’, which are doll companions which help people navigate life and also do magic. The story maintained my interest throughout as I was learning more and more about wreathenwold. I also liked the bits between chapters that are written as quotes from a book about the history of wreathenwold, which is the parallel world. I would recommend this book to fantasy lovers, world-building book lovers and people who might be interested in parallel words and the differences and similarities between them and our own.

Benjamiah soon finds himself swept along in a dangerous quest – led by the fierce and brilliant Elizabella, who is determined to solve the disappearance of her missing brother. Will Benjamiah ever find his way home and discover his puzzling connection with this strange, enchanted world?
